Description

Groundworks Archaeology was commissioned by Ms Sian Thomas undertake a level 2 historic building survey the former Methodist chapel on Townsend Lane, Upper Boddington, Northamptonshire. (NGR SP 48064 53601). This was undertaken in response to a planning condition for conversion to a dwelling (S/2020/1745/FUL). The original chapel built in 1865 was a rectangular building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with ironstone coping to the gable ends. It had three stone built lancet windows on either side with small rose windows in either gable apex.
