Full Description

{1} Identified by South Northamptonshire Council as being a building of historic and/or architectural significance.

{3} A level II building recording survey was carried out in response to a planning condition for conversion to a dwelling. The structure is of two main phases; the original chapel was built in 1865 and the later schoolroom was added in 1885. The chapel porch was added prior to 1899 and is likely to be have been built at a similar time as the schoolroom as it shares many of the same features. Although the chapel had been entirely stripped out the schoolroom had survived intact. The original chapel built in 1865 was a rectangular building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with ironstone coping to the gable ends. It had three stone built lancet windows on either side with small rose windows in either gable apex. The schoolroom built in 1885 is also a rectangular structure built in red brick English garden bond with alternate dark blue headers forming a string course.
