Description

The magnetometer survey has recorded a number of magnetic responses that have been interpreted as being of definite archaeological interest. A double ditched enclosure and a linear anomaly with intermitted pit-like responses are visible in the data; both correspond with cropmarks recorded in the HER. A tentative sub-circular feature has also been marked in the north-east of the site along with other linear trends of possible interest. Numerous linear trends have been assigned to the category of uncertain and could be due to a combination of agricultural and natural processes. However, archaeological origins cannot be entirely discounted. A former field boundary has been plotted in the very west of the magnetic data. Strong amorphous positive and negative responses throughout the dataset are likely to be natural in origin. Information from OASIS online
