Abstract/Summary

A magnetometer survey of 5 hectares of land at Dallington, Northampton has recorded a number of magnetic responses that have been interpreted as being of archaeological interest. A partial double ditched enclosure and a linear anomaly with intermittent pit-like responses have been recorded. A tentative sub-circular enclosure has also been marked in the north-east of the site along with other linear trends that are of possible interest. Numerous uncertain trends have also been detected which are likely to be due to agricultural or natural processes. The route of a former field boundary is visible in the west of the site.
