Description
MOLA was commissioned by the Environment Agency to conduct a geophysical survey on an 18ha portion of floodplain of the River Nene at Fotheringhay. The survey identified a sparse scatter of undated ditches, likely to be drainage channels and field boundaries. One feature formed a continuation of a large double ditched feature which had been identified by the previous survey and speculatively interpreted as a Neolithic cursus.
