Description

{1} Trial excavation to the north of the church were undertaken in the grounds of the Old rectory in 1988 and on the Glebe land adjacent to the present Rectory in 1989. No evidence for medieval occupation was identified; a group of limestone quarries were found, probably dating to the late medieval-early post-medieval period.
