Description

{1} Archaeological investigation including trial trench evaluation found evidence for an early Iron Age settlement. Elsewhere a post-medieval windmill and late Iron Age features were found {5} Top Lodge iron Age settlement. The work was undertaken after harvest in Autumn 1990; the recognition of features was hampered by the extremely dry soil conditions of the time.
