Description

{2} Construction of community centre and car park in the grounds of the town hall provided an opportunity for excavation along the eastern side of Brook Street. Sparse features on the frontage indicates it was unoccupied; the area probably formed the rear of buildings on Thorpe Street. A group of late Saxon features, including a probable building, found elsewhere on site.
