Description
Northamptonshire heritage has advised that an archaeological evaluation should be carried out on the site of a proposed new farm on 0.07 hectares of land at Field Barn, Banbury Lane, King's Sutton. Four trial trenches were excavated to seek a linear found from the cropmarks. This linear feature was thought to be a possible Roman road. Results of the trial trench found no evidence of a Roman road and it is theorised that if it did exist, it has eroded away.
