Description

Evaluation within the garden of the Rectory, east of the Market Place, recorded limited evidence for medieval activity due to landscaping works in the 18th and 19th century. Generally this excavation picked up on more modern features. Hard landscaping associated with the present building has removed or truncated such levels. No structures forming part of a market place frontage were found in Trench 3.
