Full Description

{1}Remains of an earlier post medieval building were present in Trench 4, comprising of four ironstone walls and one of brick. The building had been partially removed by garden terracing and the construction of a sunken garden. No floors survived but and area of burnt stones, possibly a hearth, and stones forming the base of a stone lined pit may have been associated. A fence line seen in pit evidence post dates the demolition of the stone building.
