These areas where targeted to coincide with the crop marks and the areas of proposed topsoil displacement. Area 1 covered three hectares near to the southwest extent of the crop marks and proposed development. Area 2 was made up of a one hectare square located west of the centre of the crop marks. Area 3 was located 50m to the west of this and comprised a quarter hectare block. Area 4 was at the southeastern corner of the field and was three quarters of a hectare in size.
