Description

{1} Monitoring of residential groundworks within the walled garden recorded two phases of the perimeter wall and its northern entrance. No significant finds were recovered, and there was no firm evidence for the former presence of the early manor house on this site, however it should be noted that the development trenches were restricted to less than 1m depth and did not penetrate the natural subsoil. Any archaeological remains within the rest of the site will have survived in situ.
