Description

This archaeological evaluation at Barby Castle, Northamptonshire, sought to determine the origin and significance of nearby earthworks. While they were likely medieval, little evidence of occupation was found, and beneath them, extensive Roman features from the 1st–2nd centuries AD were uncovered. Their purpose remains uncertain
