Description

{1} Exploration by Mr. R. Isham has revealed an extensive area of Roman occupation now under active building development. Finds include coins, Samian ware, roof and flue tiles and tesserae, plaster and large quantities of coarse ware indicating occupation during the later Roman period. Trial excavations have uncovered 20 yds of wall, a cobbled floor and a covered stone gully.
