Description
{1} The excavation of Briar Hill Causewayed enclosure was begun in October 1974 and finished in October 1978. Over half the area available for excavation was dug, including over 80% of the area of the inner enclosure and nearly 25% of the outer enclosure. The site was in use intermittently throughout much of the Neolithic period and into the early Bronze Age.
