Description
{1} Trial trench showed that the land had been previously quarried. Unstratified Iron Age, Roman and Saxon finds recovered. {2} Finds include Belgic, Rb and Saxon pottery from Sandpits field which was excavated c1973? [Data from NRHE: Mr Hall suggests that copies of the site archives accompanied the finds from most of his investigations when they were passed into the custody of the respective county museums in 1988.
