Description

{1} Trial trench showed that the land had been previously quarried. Unstratified Iron Age, Roman and Saxon finds recovered. [Data from NRHE: Mr Hall suggests that copies of the site archives accompanied the finds from most of his investigations when they were passed into the custody of the respective county museums in 1988. The originals are still in his keeping. (Mr D Hall. E-mail 13. 9. 04.).]
