Description

{1} Observation of contractors trench. One of a number in the area. {4} A trench running WSW/ENE (6m x 1.5m x 1.6m deep) across the line of Horseshoe St outside Pete's Café. The trench was later extended to the pavement. Both sides of the trench were examined and showed a wall c.8m wide aligned approx N-S with road surfaces abutting it on the east side and possible garden soil on the west. Natural not observed.
