Summary

Archaeological watching brief undertaken during water mains work identified a substantial wall bounding a series of road surfaces on its east side. On the west side of the wall was a garden soil indicating this area was not a built up area.

{3}Horseshoe Street watching brief. Road surfaces were recorded to a depth of 2.6m between SP75146013 and SP75176035 during the laying of a water main;Medieval street was confined to the eastern part of the modern street;
