Full Description

{1} Wesleyan Day School: established in 1848 and re-organised and new building erected in 1860/1 with associated masters residence. (In building with archway between Swincroft Place and Brook Street). The Wesleyan Day School closed in 1914 when the council school opened.
Sunday School, Day School built in 1874: the Sunday School buildings (formerly school) located to the rear of the Brook Street Methodist Church are still in existence and are currently in use as domestic residences.

{2} Former school of 1860 by TY Littlewood of St Neots and enlarged in 1896 by Sharman & Archer. The master's house survives more or less as built in a mild Tudor style, but the school behind was considerably altered when converted into a residence. Its curious metal conical ventilation turrets remain.
