Full Description
{1} Methodist Chapel, Chapel Lane and Brook Street. In late 18th century Methodist services were held in a cottage in Thorpe Street and in 1812 a new chapel was opened. A Methodist chapel was converted from a blacksmith's shop. The present chapel was erected in 1874 and is still in use by the Methodist Church. Raunds became head of the Methodist Circuit in 1885 and the Old Rectory was bought as the residence.
{2} Built 1873-4, designed 1869by William Streather. Rearing above the street with three tallround arches and round-headed windows. Rusticated pilasters. Triangular pediment. Galleried interior. Behind its former school.
