Full Description
{1} A brickworks was located to the east of the town, with a sand pit in close proximity. The features are shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885, but were no longer extant by 1922.
{2} Known operating dates 1877-1900. In 1877 John Sewell ran this yard as well as the Wheatsheaf Hotel in in Brackley. He advertises that he makes bricks, draining pipe, roofing tiles and malt kiln tiles. Two kilns were in operation at least between 1882 and 1900.
{5} The brickworks had two kilns.
