Full Description
{1} Duke Street, industrial works in a building converted from different usage, undefined. Now utilised by 'Targetcraft Archery' and 'A.P. Lewis and Sons Ltd'.
{2} Industrial complex on Duke Street, Buton Latimer. The complex is contemporary with the terraced houses surrounding it and was developed over a period of time and clearly used for a number of different purposes. There is a possible agricultural building to the rear comprising a row of brick columns presumably forming stalls. There is also a single storey, small workshop and a larger-storey workshop with horizontal sliding sash windows and a taking-in door - both to the rear of the complex. The building fronting on to Duke Street was at one point used as a Cooperative Society shop, the former shop frontage has clearly been bricked up, but some of the brown shop tiles remain. There is a carriage arch to the right of the shop leading to the rear of the property providing access to the subsidiary buildings. The property has been in use by "A. P. Lewis and Sons, Building Contractors" and has been substantially altered during this use. The site is due to be developed for residential use. Photos.
