Summary
An early 17th century house that was altered during the 19th century situated on the southern side of Main Street. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with chimney stacks at each gable and on the right side of the ridge. The road facing façade has an irregular four window range of casements under wooden lintels to both floors. A projecting entrance porch with a single pitch roof is located on the right and there is evidence of a former roof line.

Full Description
{1} House. Early C17 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit, now 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. Irregular 4-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. C20 casement to ground floor left of centre. C20 lean-to porch to right of centre. Ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at ridge and ends. Evidence of earlier roof line to front elevation and right gable. C20 glazed porch to rear. Interior: centre room and kitchen to right has spine and wall beams. Originally probably house and attached farm building, subdivided in C19 to form 2 dwellings. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p175)
