Summary

A mid 18th century house that was altered circa 1800 located on the west side of Station Road. The building was constructed of coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof and brick gable stacks. The left gable has an ashlar parapet and the right gable is hipped. The building is two stories high with an attic lit by a hipped dormer window. A central door is flanked by two, three light casement windows beneath a two window range of casements.

Full Description

House. Mid C18. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roofs. Originally L-shape plan. 2 storeys with attic. 2-window range of C20 casements under original wood lintels. Central part-glazed door is also under wood lintel. Hipped roof dormer, to right, has horizontal sliding sash. Ashlar gable parapet to left and hipped roof to right. Brick end stacks. Interior not inspected but noted as having an open fireplace, in room to right of entrance, now blocked. (RCHM: An Inventory of Archite tural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p129)
