Summary

An early 18th century house located on the western side of Station Road. The building is constructed of rendered limestone with a thatched roof and gable chimney stacks. The house has a two window range of casements beneath two eyebrow dormers with a door to the left and a central blocked entrance. The house was split into two cottages during the 19th century.

Full Description

House. Early C18. Squared coursed limestone, now painted, with thatch roof. Originally 2-unit plan. Single storey with attic. 2-window range of C20 p.v.c. casements, in original openings, under wood lintels. C20 door, to far left, under wood lintel. Brick and stone stacks at ends. 2 eyebrow dormers with similar casements. Evidence of blocked door to centre. Interior has 2 open fireplaces, with bressumers, and remains of central timber-framed partition. Used as 2 cottages in C19.
