Summary

An 18th century farmhouse situated on the southern side of the High Street with its left gable fronting the street. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with stone chimney stacks at the roof ridge and at the gable ends. The range to the north is two storeys with an attic range lit by two gabled dormer windows and the southern range is single story with an attic range illuminated by two gabled dormer windows. The northern range has a two window front of three light casements under wooden lintels with a central doorway under a flat hood. The southern range has an irregular range of casement windows with a French door to the right.

Full Description

{1} Farmhouse, now house. C18 origins, main range early C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys, part single storey with attic. 2-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels and C20 concrete lintels. Central, part-glazed, door is also under wood lintel. Stone stacks at ends. 2-window range, to right, is single storey with attic and may be of C18 origin. C19 style casement windows under wood lintels and 2 eaves dormers with similar casements. Central part-glazed door under wood lintel. Interior not inspected.

{1, 6} The site of an 18th century farmhouse. The building is two stories and single story with an attic that is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston Slate roof and stone stacks at the gable ends. The main range seems to be from the early 19th century with 19th century style casement windows. The building is Listed at Grade II.
