Summary

A 17th and late 18th century farmhouse situated on the southern side of the High Street. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone and ashlar with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with protruding gable parapets. The street facade has a symmetrical two window range of casements with a central door. The rear range may be earlier and retains some stone mullioned windows.

Full Description

{1} Farmhouse. C17 and late C18. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys, part with attics. Main front is a 2-window range of C19 casements under stone lintels with keyblocks. Central 6-panel door with glazed toplights, under flat wooden hood. Ashlar gable parapets and brick and ashlar stacks at ends. Right gable has a 2-light stone mullion cellar window and similar attic window. Range to rear also has one 3-light stone mullion window. Elevation of rear range, to left of main front, has three 3-light stone mullion windows and plank and panelled doors between window range. Rear range may be earliest build, front range is probably late C18. Interior not inspected.
