Summary
An early to mid 17th century farmhouse with late 17th century, 18th century and 19th century alterations is situated on the western side of the High Street. The building is an irregular cross plan and was built of squared coursed limestone with double pitch tile roofs with projecting parapets and chimney stacks on the ridge and at the gable ends. The main front has casement windows and the garden front has two and four light stone mullion windows.The house is on two levels with the 17th century wing being lower than the rest of the house. Both wings are two stores high with attic ranges lit by gabled roof dormer windows. The building was re roofed and converted to a house in the 20th century.

Full Description
{1} Farmhouse. Early/mid C17, late C17, C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with C20 plain tile roof. Originally 2-unit plan, now irregular cross-shape. 2 storeys. Elevation to High Street of 4 bays, with bay to left of centre breaking forward as a gabled wing. 2-window range, to right, of differing, unhorned, C19 sashes with glazing bars, under stone and wood lintels. 6 panel door, between windows, also under wood lintel. The bay to the right is C19. Gable end of projecting wing and bay to left are blank. Ashlar gable parapet to right. Stone and ashlar ridge and end stacks. Return wall of projecting wing, forming end bay of garden front, has C19 sash window under wood lintel, to first floor and C20 French door below. Central bay of garden front has 2- and 4-light, ovolo-moulded, stone mullion windows, to ground floor, and one similar, 2-light, window to first floor. Range to left is late C17 with lower eaves and 4 eaves dormers, probably C20. Interior not inspected but noted as having remains of open fireplace in centre room.
{3} Home Farm (Fig. 62), two storeys, originally class 4a, 17th-century, with a nearly contemporary addition of one room at the back, a late 18th-century extension on the E. and a 19th-century parlour on the N. Two and four-light mullioned windows with hood moulds.
