Building record 503/6/1 - Fairfield Lodge

Vicarage, now house. Probably early C18, rebuilt early C19. Stuccoed brick with slate roof.

{1} Vicarage, now house. Probably early C18, rebuilt early C19. Stuccoed brick with slate roof. Double-pile plan. 2 storeys with attic. Garden front of 5-window range. Central porch, probably late C19 with plain pilasters, double doors and inner glazed door with arched fanlight. Sash windows with glazing bars and moulded stone architraves; those at ground floor are eared. Hipped roof with brick stacks at ridge. Left side elevation similar with 2 blank windows. Rear similar but with attic storey of small sash windows. The rear of the house probably incorporates a C18 building. Interior: Early C19 staircase with quarter landing and stick balustrade.

{3} Building recording survey of an outbuilding which abuts the north-east elevation of the main house prior to alterations. The outbuilding has undergone significant alterations over time but may have originated as a wide covered passage to allow wagons to enter the courtyard to the south.
