Full Description

{1} House. Mid C17 and C18. Squared coursed ironstone with plain-tile roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3-window range. Central C20 door has 3-light wood-mullion window above. Other windows are 6-light casements with wood mullions and transomes; all windows have moulded wood lintels and leaded lights with some crown glass. Ashlar gable parapets and 2 stone stacks at ridge. Coat of arms above door. Gable elevation to left has 4-light wood-mullion window at first floor and 6-light casements at ground and attic; similar to front elevation. Rear has C18 wing with some casements with glazing bars and moulded wood lintels. Interior not inspected but noted as having panelled window reveals to ground floor front rooms. Wall attached to right of main front and enclosing 2 sides of front garden is probably C18, ironstone with ashlar coping. Arch head recess with keystone adjacent to house has stepped parapet above. Arch head opening in centre of section abutting Church Street.
