Building record 3250/14/1 - The Boot Public House

Please read our .

Summary

The Boot Public House stands on the north side of West Street. The existence of a large two-storey warehouse - with a pantiled roof - to its rear suggests that its name derives from a close association with the boot and shoe industry. This is more plausible in view of the former concentration of leather trades in the West Street and Park Street area of Earls Barton.
