Pairs of arch head sashes to right and triple sash with Venetian style head to left. Shallow gable to left, and similar smaller gables above windows to right all with decorative barge boards and finials. Stone stacks at ridge and end. Square tower to rear projects one storey above ridge with pairs of arch head windows; conical roof with weather vane and 2 stone stacks at corners. Other elevations are similar. Entrance to rear has porch with open colonnade. Interior not inspected but noted as having original C19 staircase. Example illustrated in Loudons Encyclopedia.

{3} Said to have been built for George Burnham, a Wellingborough solicitor, for himself. Italianate in style, L-shape, with a three-storey tower in the re-entrant angle. Typical windows of tall arched lights, as eg illustrated in Loudon's Encyclopaedia.

Sometime after the Second World War the house size was reduced by the removal of 2 bays of the service wing.
