{2} Surviving earthworks lie in a broad arc SW., S. and SE. of Manor Farm but, though clearly related to the village, these are not part of the settlement area. The main earthworks in the area are a complex system of hollow-ways. The hollow way apparently once crossed the stream for its continuation, still a broad hollow—way, climbs the opposite hillside and then forks. The N.W. branch divides again to the N.W., W. and S., apparently to give access to the adjacent ridge and furrow, while the main hollow-way continues until it meets the field boundary where it stops abruptly.
