Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking; undertaken on 22/11/1974, a large quantity of late Roman pot sherds, quernstones and blue roofing slates were recovered; information from Mr B Bellamy on the 10/09/1980;

{2} Opus Signinum has also been found in this location; Mr D Hall gives the location as NGR SP 8940 8635;

{5} Large site with building stone, millstone grit quern, grey-blue roofing tiles, other red tiles, opus signum with charcoal & tile in it. Late pottery, dark occupation.
