Full Description

{1} Earthworks of building platforms of the deserted medieval village of Pipewell. Earthworks around the present village are difficult to interpret as some probably belong with the abbey remains. On the south side of Harpers Brook is a group of sub-rectangular platforms set back into the hillside and cut through at their lower, northern ends by the mutilated fragments of monastic buildings.
