Full Description
{1} Several discrete anomalies were recorded. The nature of the signals suggested that these were pits. Contemporary features such as pits are occasionally found at causewayed enclosures.
Trench 25 revealed two pits. Both were approx 1.7m wide and up to 0.6m deep. No finds were recovered but the fills were similar to that of the enclosure ditch.
{2} Subsequent trial trenching in this area re-opened trench 25, and the pits were reinterpreted as being part of the causewayed enclosure ditch.
