Description
{1} Six areas were selected for surveying, the work being sub-contracted to Geophysical Surveys of Bradford. In some areas, the low level of the geophysical responses made interpretation difficult. The transects at sites 3 and 4 were very successful in determining the presence of archaeologically produced anomalies. Survey of site 2 proved to be ineffective due to the extent of modern disturbance. Problems were encountered at Site 1, however, where the character of the fills of the Causewayed Enclosure ditches meant that the anomalies were weak. Nevertheless the ditches were definitely located, especially in Area Bl/B2. Weak anomalies recorded in several transects appeared to result from ploughing.
