Full Description

{1} No evidence in the geophysical data of the survey area to the north west for a continuation of the 'annexe' ditch.

{2} A ditch, at least 0.6m deep, on a north-south alignment. Only the western side of the ditch was exposed (the eastern side had been truncated by a modern pipe) and the ditch was not bottomed. Its fill contained 13th century pottery and it had been recut at least once.
It is thought that the ditch was contemporary with the Mount, perhaps marking a boundary.
