Full Description
{1} A collection of modern metalwork discarded on a concrete block at SP9220 6693. It has been suggested that the objects originate from Chester Farm but there is no proof for this. The collection is of 150+ metal items - mostly iron with some aluminium and metal alloys - and appears to be or recent/ modern origin. Items include shortgun cartridge ends, horseshoes, nails, bolts, machine pins and rings and fragments, chain, barbed wire, iron pipe, and pieces from modern agricultual machinery.
<1> Cadman, G., 2011, Chester Farm - metal objects, (checked) (Report). SNN107544.
