Full Description

{1} Home Farmhouse became separated from its lands in the 1930s when a substantial acreage of the farm was developed as the council housing estate known as 'Ridgmont'. The more recent 'High View' estate occupies more of the land. At the time of the award it was owned by Richard Brown, who sold it shortly afterwards to William Clarke, a member of the family that was shortly to become the biggest single landowner in the village.
