Full Description
{1} Along the field boundary to the east, a large area anomaly has been interpreted as a possible former quarry, probably for the extraction of ironstone.
{4} Limestone extraction pits seen in the geophysical survey as irregular shaped anomalies; it is likely that they formed part of the same extraction pit. They varied in depth from 0.62 to 0.72m deep and were filled with fragmented ironstone or limestone and red sands or silts. Several possible post holes were also seen.
