Full Description

{1} A linear feature aligned east-west and 1m wide X 0.55m deep. The large rough ironstone boulders in the feature and throughout the immediate subsoil suggest that it may be a robbed out crude garden wall foundation. If correct then the depth of the feature would have supported a wall of some height. The alignment of the wall corresponds roughly with the front of the C17th house on the site. An C11th pottery sherd from the fill is probably residual.
