Full Description
{1} Fieldwalking survey of c17ha of land undertaken in 1992 as part of an archaeological evaluation for planning permission for the construction of a golf course. Since the field was non-arable, transects 24m apart had been ploughed by the farmer in advance of the survey. Very small quantities of worked flint, Iron Age/Roman pottery and a single sherd of early/middle Saxon pottery were found and there were no concentrations around the known cropmarks.
