Full Description

{1} Two possible orientations of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation can be seen. One is aligned roughly northeast- south west and the other seemingly earlier alignment is NNE-SSW.
Remnant furrows were noted in all trenches except trench 1. The furrows were orientated north east to south west; typical distances between the furrows were 4m and 5.5m. A possible earlier phases of ridge and furrow could be noted, aligned Nne-SSW.
