Full Description

{1} Trial trench excavation identified a small number of medieval and undated features. A partially excavated pit, at least 0.24m wide and 0.31m deep, containing slag and medieval pottery. To the south was another pit or possible ditch terminal, 1.2m wide and 0.56m deep. This feature also contained medieval pottery and slag.
A base of a hearth/ oven was revealed. It comprised a sub-rectangular arrangement of flat burnt limestone stone varying in colour. No finds were found.
