Full Description

{1} The property is a 19th century building which has served as a warehouse/ manufacturing place since its construction to the present date. Externally the first and second floor window appertures appear unaltered, with the ground floor window openings built up in more recent years.
The building is of three storeys with a single storey flat roof section to the north. The construction is of local brick under a slate roof. The building has been rendered and painted white, as have the arched brick window heads and cills. Internally, the walls are painted brickwork with no plaster finish. The windows are timber framed with single glazing to the lower sections and louvered glazing at high level.
Map evidence has determined that the building was constructed between 1841 and 1887. The warehouse was initially constructed to serve the furniture and clothing industries and the single storey section served as the associated shop.
The shop unit was demolished in the 1980s when Grafton Street was widened.
