Full Description

{1} Barnwell was one of 25 repair depots (to repair airfields and installations) established throughout the country in WWII. The exact location is uncertain though 1958 OS 1:10560 map depicts buildings that may be a depot centered on TL04358575.

{2} Oral report from Mr Timmins of Thrapston. Informant understood there to have been an RAOC depot at this site - or hereabouts. Several buildings are still present.
