Full Description

{1} Shows pattern of medieval/post medieval cultivation strips which formerly existed across this area.

{2} A total of 10.14ha was walked in the eastern half of Field 3. The medieval pottery assemblage includes a sherd of late Saxon/early medieval date and 8 sherds of late medieval pottery. The pottery is spread evenly across the field and presumably derives from former manuring. The larger quantity of post medieval material suggests cultivation throughout the period.
Additional finds made during metal detecting, p.13.
