Abstract/Summary
Fieldwalking reconnaissance, geophysical and metal detecting surveys were carried out on land near Bozeat, Northamptonshire (centred on NGR SP897600) between July and November 1996 as part of the continuing archaeological evaluation of a proposed mineral extraction site. Previous desk-based study had identified several cropmarks within the application site and in its vicinity. Two areas of archaeological interest have now been more closely identified; they are dated to the Roman and early Saxon period by ceramic finds.
